GRP Grating Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What minimum span should be used?
A. In general we recommend metre spans when possible. However this can depend on the grating being used and load, please contact us find what is most suitable.

Q. What grating depth is right for my application?
A. This will vary by application, it's safest to get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Q. Is your grating fire retardant?
A. Yes, our grating has been tested in accordance with BS 476: Part 7 and meets the requirements of Class 2 (certificates available on request).

Q. What if I require a bespoke size grating panel?
A. Not to worry, contact us with your desired GRP grating panel sizes, and we'll cut our grating to your specified sizes before it's shipped. Alternatively, you can cut our grating on site due to its ease of fabrication. We recommend using an industrial jigsaw and appropriate cutting blades (Bosch "T101 A1F" or similar are ideal. More cutting information can be found on the technical data sheet, found on the product page).

Q. Can I purchase your grating online?
A. Absolutely! You can easily purchase our standard size grating directly from our website. However, if you need bespoke sizes, or a competitive quote, please contact us directly so we can do our best to help.

Q. How long does delivery take?
A. We offer 2-3 day delivery for orders placed before 1pm on our website.

If an order requires extra legwork e.g. cutting, then it may be dispatched at a slightly later date. Some jobs require a special order, for which we may need to order materials in. In these cases please allow up to 12 weeks for delivery.
