FibreGrid has recently been awarded
a framework agreement to supply Shower & Eyebath Services with
fibreglass grating platforms for all their emergency safety
showers.
The grating panel, which is
connected by a chain to the shower release valve, is set on a 45
degree angle. Once the panel is stepped on it moves down thus opening
up the shower release valve.
The fibreglass
panel, which has a silicone carbide grit bonded top surface,
provides a stable and slip resistant surface for the emergency
shower treatment.
"The
competition, as you would expect for a contract of this size was
fierce" said FibreGrid's Rob Cousin. "Whilst price was
an important issue, a major factor in our successful bid was our
ability to guarantee speedy deliveries, made possible by our
extensive stockholding.
