Load Deflection Tables

Deflections:

A benefit of GRP grating is that the product deflects when loads are imposed and returns to normal when the load has been removed, as oppose to steel grating that will deform and not return to its original shape. The following is a guide to help with calculating an exceptable deflection rate: For pedestrian traffic, the deflection of a floor panel under the design load shall not exceed 10mm or 1/200th of the span, whichever is the lesser. The difference in level between a loaded and a neighbouring unloaded flooring shall not exceed 4mm.
