Embedded Anti Slip Top Surface
FibreGrid’s Moulded Fibreglass Grating, as a standard, incorporates an embedded grit top surface, Ideally suited for heavy traffic areas. This surface easily exceeds the minimum requirements of the “extremely low” potential for slip rating as per the UK Slip Resistant Group Guide 2002. It should comfortably offer better slip resistance and a longer life over time.

Fire Retardant & Chemical Resistant
FibreGrid’s Moulded Grating has been tested in accord with BS 476: Part 7 and met the performance requirements of Class 1 (certificates available on request). The resin system used during manufacture means that the grating panels are resistant to a wide range of chemicals.

Lightweight & Impact Resistant
Moulded grating offers a significant weight saving over traditional materials like steel. This makes the product easier to handle and install and requires no heavy lifting equipment. The products construction method means that it also offers the benefit of being extremely tough and impact resistant.

Non Magnetic & Non Sparking
Fibreglass’s non-magnetic properties allows the grating to be used in sensitive installations. Fibreglass Grating is also ideally suited for those installations where gases may be present and which may explode or cause a fire from sparks produced by accidental dropping of tools onto the grating.

Accessories FibreGrid’s Fibreglass Moulded Grating are available with a selection of accessories for fixing the panels down and additional items to enhance the product. Fixing Clips All clips are made from 316 stainless steel.     Type ‘M’ Designed to fix grating on support structure & prevent it from turning in all four directions.   Type ‘L’ For use in securing grating to support frames.   Type ‘C’ Applied to connect two adjacent grating bars. Grating Ramp Fibreglass gritted, contrasting coloured ramp is a structural grate but has an approx. 75mm covered front section. The Grating Ramp easily connects to any size grating using standard Fixing Clips. Elevated Feet To allow the free flow of spillages or rainwater under the grating, raised inserts can be used to elevate the grating. These insert feet range in sizes from 6mm to 300mm. The same inserts can also offer an advantage when using the grating panels for slip resistant workstations. The allowable deflection provided by the inserts will reduce the normal leg fatigue experienced when standing on a hard inflexible surface for long periods.
